Maurizio De Angelis is a realist painter specialise in portraiture.
He lives and works in London and for almost 15 years he has focused in painting in oil on canvas.
Whenever is possible, Maurizio prefers to take pictures of the sitter in his studio in Hackney where he has the right lightning system and camera equipments.
Before that, he normally discusses with the sitter about the pose, expression, lighting and narrative elements presents in the scene.
Once he gets the pictures, Maurizio makes a first selection and then works together with the sitter in order to find the best photograph.
